1. About Firuva

Firuva is an independent, student-built academic tool that connects to Canvas LMS to help you track assignments, grades, and study plans. Firuva is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Canvas, Instructure, or any university. “Canvas” and “Instructure” are trademarks of Instructure, Inc.

2. Acceptance of terms

By using Firuva you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use. These terms apply to all users of the service, including during the beta period.

3. Use of the service

• You must be a currently enrolled student at an institution that uses Canvas.
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
• Do not use Firuva to attempt to access data belonging to other students.
• Do not use Firuva in any way that violates your institution’s academic integrity policies.

4. No warranty on academic data

Firuva syncs data from Canvas and uses AI to generate study plans and grade projections. This information is provided for convenience and may not always be accurate or up to date. Always verify grades, deadlines, and assignment requirements directly in Canvas. Firuva is not responsible for academic decisions made based on information displayed in the app.

5. Beta service disclaimer

During the private beta, Firuva is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We may change, pause, or discontinue features at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.

6. Canvas access

Firuva accesses your Canvas account in read-only mode using your OAuth token or Personal Access Token. We never post, submit, grade, or modify anything in Canvas on your behalf. You can revoke Firuva’s access at any time from your Canvas account settings.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Firuva and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including any academic consequences.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Firuva after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
